Hello, been a good long while since I posted but I "hopefully"will be headed to pick up a 3x3 base by 3.5 ft tall used tank tomorrow. Calls show it about 237g which is several times larger than any previous tank I have owned (largest was 75g). This will be the first tank I have setup since I sold out almost 3 yrs ago! I am looking for the lowest maintenance setup possible, this is going to be a large, cornered community tank, I am thinking African cichlids, shell dwellers at the bottom, a mid tank fish and a top fish, all in the smaller range. I want to also run aquaponics on top with several house plants such a peace Lilly and arrow heads. So what I am looking for is the best filtration setup. Seems like aquaponics + drip system doesn't work out to well for the plants but with the size and location of this tank, frequent water changes would be a major p.i.t.a. ! I have never filtered something this big so suggestions welcome!
