I can't read all the writing, but from my understanding it should say for potable water on it. Black hoses no, grey or white yes. If not the rubber and other chemical compositions can break down and leech into the water and then it is not safe. Although as a kid I remember drinking from a regular green garden hose and no problems....I think. lol I have purchased the white potable water hoses from an rv dealer. Hope this helps.

You can get a 25 ft RV hose at Wal-Mart in the automotive section for a nine dollar bill.

I wouldn't recommend a hose under 20. Anything cheap is going to be a kinky nightmare (not the good way too) i bought the cheap 50ft which was lableled medium... Kinked easy. Upgraded to a name brand one same thing so i just bought a 30 dollars one. No kinks!

I've always used any hose that was handy, never had any issues.

Garden hoses are not regulated by the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), which monitors the nation's public drinking supply.
Nearly 200 hoses, gloves, kneeling pads and tools were tested for lead, cadmium, bromine (associated with brominated flame retardants), chlorine (indicating the presence of polyvinyl chloride, or PVC), phthalates and bisphenol A (BPA). Such chemicals have been linked to birth defects, impaired learning, liver toxicity, premature births and early puberty in laboratory animals, among other serious health problems.

Why take chances with all the crap coming in from China
