So, I went to buy some silicone for a project and the label states not for aquariums on both 1 and 2. This is the clear door and window stuff. Has something changed? I thought that GE I was the right stuff but now I am paranoid to try it if they have changed it for some reason. Anyone know what the scoop is?

It's to cover their asses. It's not intended to hold hundreds of pounds of water ya know. So, they label it as so.

Edit: they don't want you doing a tank repair, your repair fails, then you say "the silicone said its tank safe, they need to pay to repair my house."

There is a GE1 with mold inhibitors, you must make sure you look in the fine print, and get the GE1 window & door without the inhibitors. As far as I know GE2 is not usable.
I have used GE 1 (without mold inhibitors) successfully within the last year.
