Perusing the never ending supply of youtube videos on giant tank filtration I noticed a lot of people use rain barrels. I've always believed that overflows should be gravity fed, hence sumps underneath of the tank, and the entry to the sump should be the lowest point. Thus the reason I use low, long tanks like a 125. A lot of setups involve a overflow that drops down to the floor and then comes back up to the top of a barrel. Do you guys think this is fail proof? If so, I'm installing taller sumps ASAP!
