I recently purchased a 135 gallon with a siphon overflow and a sump. I can't seem to get it to level out. Once the pump starts running it sucks the sump dry. I know the system works as I saw it fully set up and running before I bought it. What am I doing wrong? I tried lowering the overflow box as low as it will go and still nothing.

I want to say that the pump is pumping more gph than the syphon is but if you saw it running....

Either valve the pump back or you dont have proper siphon running. Pics may help, what sort of overflow are you running? If its one with a "u tube" be sure there is no air trapped in the top of the U
This is my first syphon overflow. I am getting a bit of air trapped in the U tubes. Is there a trick to getting 100% syphon? I keep trying but always get an air pocket.
