Why is my arowana keep hiding

Hello everyone
my silver aro seem to like swimming around in the plants rather than the top of the water, he does move around a lot just not at the top,
im asuming this is because he feels safer down there, if I turn the lights off he will come back to the top again, I will post a picture when my son will give my ipad back ha ha

Oh and he is eating fine on mussels chopped up and he just ate 2 small crickets

Good shout, I was just wondering that, I will have too buy some lower watt bulbs due to lid design

Cool, I will get some lower wattage bulbs an some floating plants.

Well my aro is now in another tank and a lot happier, always up the top again swimming, or hiding under the plants that have grown up and covering some of the top, eating well and I'm sure he's grown in the couple weeks I've had him lol
