If I could get a Fluval FX5 for $100 then I would jump on it immediately. Quite frankly I would probably jump on both, but if I only had enough for one I would get the Fluval FX5.

Fx5 is a steal. Sounds like they are both used and im not sure of long term durability of knockoffs

I vote fx5 but aquatop is pretty well worth the money, if you were going to get one I would choose the fx5.

Offer $130 for both, then sell the fx5 for $150. You'll get the aquatop for free plus $20 profit ;)

I have 2 aquatop cf400uv's, very easy maintenance and have been working well. I thought about an fx5 but it looks like it would be more difficult on the maintenance.

I'm running 2 fx5 on each end of my 300g tank with 4 cf500uv in the middle. My water is stupid clear. Fx5 lacks the uv but has a much better water flow. Get both.

Straight up, my aquatop cf500 has outlasted two FX5 motors and is still running like new after a couple years of being on 24/7. And it's quieter.
