So how big will they actually get in an aquarium? Some sites list 13", others say 18". And will an adult fit a 4" peacock into its mouth? Is this fish limited to a tank of haps only?

Thanks

I believe there was a member here that had a breeding pair. The male was something like 18"-20" and the female was about 16".

I am sure he could get larger but their growth slows down as they get bigger. I would figure around 14-15" is the general maximum size you are likely to encounter...again they can get larger but are not as likely. I have never had him eat any other fish in the tank but I only put in fish that are 3-3.5" in length.
