Went to my LFS to check out plecos, arrived early, the lights where still off. The owner turned them on for me and the first tank I looked in had this little (4") NTT come shooting out to the front glass begging for food, and 100% stable. Buddy threw in some food sticks and he started hitting them like a champ, sold, lol.

Perfect except for one little issue, a birth defect/pimple under his chin, it looks like lower jaw cartilage (?), I'm guessing this will never go away, wondering what other Dat lovers may think ? For now these are the best pics I could muster, the little guy is pretty hyper. He's very active in his new home, ate the first day, and has remained 100% stable, and stands his ground with my 7" Indo, paid $40CND, (10 off for the pimple) no regrets.

Dont worry about the pimple, it will be gone when it gets bigger.

Be lucky to have a NTT that takes pellets. Very rare do they eat pellets

I brought pellets one day to the lfs and the only NTT that took pellets was a 3" baby NTT. All others were at least 5+ inches

Thanks for the positive posts guys, my LFS has 20 3-3.50" NTT's coming in two weeks.

Depending on the price I plan to purchase 4-6 to grow out.

Good to be back !
