Milky Way Galaxy,
Hey guys haven't posted in awhile been super busy with school.

My AG Snapper loves to bask and its driving me nuts. And it really worries me because sometimes his shell looks really dry. I feed him 1-2 a weeks 1 silver side, always has 30+ minnows/guppies to snack on, he's about 4-5" in a 50g tank with 100% WC once a week. I have a UV bulb set up as well. He's almost 2yrs old, is he just werid?

Well that might be part of the problem. Try keeping the water temp between 75-80 F. and see if you notice any changes in the amount it basks.

If you see any bubbles coming from nose while basking it's a respatory infection.

My AST thrives at 82 degrees. Was almost lethargic at 70-74 degrees. Metabolism and joie-de vivre' spiked at 82.
