Hello all. Recently I caught 6 spotter gars out of a few local lakes near Fort Wayne, IN. Turns out some of the females were holding fertilized eggs. I threw all 6 in my 6 acre pond, along with a huge bowfin and a dozen largemouth bass. The pond already has an established population of bluegill and fathead minnows.

Today I was walking around the pond and found a few of these guys. I've never seen gars this size! I'm hoping they all make it and I'll have a nice gar pond. I will continue to monitor their growth and post pics on here.uploadfromtaptalk1402627293496.jpguploadfromtaptalk1402627321136.jpguploadfromtaptalk1402627253288.jpguploadfromtaptalk1402627267988.jpguploadfromtaptalk1402627280987.jpg

Yeah I didn't think the gars would actually spawn. Hopefully they have enough cover. My pond is heavily planted.uploadfromtaptalk1402763197675.jpg

Finding these guys left and right. I can now walk out onto my pier and find 20 without even looking too hard. Getting some size on them too!uploadfromtaptalk1403212545103.jpguploadfromtaptalk1403212563015.jpg
