Will a low light setup aquarium not need CO2?

I hear that with less light, less CO2 is needed. I would like to avoid co2 and I'm using the aquasoil Amazonia substrate. Also, the filter would be an Aquaclear 200 gph. The tank is a 20 gallon Long and would have a medium amount of plants. Please comment on if this set up is alright. Thanks

Co2 helps plants grow quicker. High light without adding co2 will only cause algae to grow. Low light slow growing plants can grow fine off co2 from fish and gas exchange. When trying to grow demanding plants it becomes necessary. What are you trying to keep for plants? And what do you have for a light?
