Should i put my baby Oscar down?

I an issue with ich . I am currently raising the temp but my Oscar is doing the worst. My pleco died this am should I put my O out of his misery or will he likely recover. He is just floating around the tank but he is still breathing? I need advise. I feel so bad for him :-(

Sorry to hear, any Oscars I've had from LFS are in bad condition when they arrive in shops; really maltreated and usually end up with ich or parasites :(

I wouldn't lose hope just yet, we all get bad experiences in the hobby but when you do well (which you will) its that much more rewarding.

I would suggest when you first get a fish from a lfs to treat it just like if its wc. That way there is less of a chance it will die or possibly infect other fish . Simplest way is to add salt to the tank and soak its food in Epsom salt water .
