Is this a blue based arowana?

I've attached some pictures of my Arowana. Is this a blue based Arowana or not? Asking because I'm seeing a blue color in it.

What type of Asian Arowana was this Arowana sold to you as? Your Arowana does have a Blue sheen on his scales.

Very much south..
I find it too light in colour to be a lue base xback...but then it can be the light you have on your tank.

The certificate says it is a Red Tail Golden Arowana. It is not a cross-back. This is an outdoor tank and he is in the sun light.

Majority of Gold Aros will show a degree of blue shade in their base color at certain angles. I noticed if you look at the scales from a lower angle you'll see more blue. As it grows bigger, the gold rim will get thicker and see less blue.

Okay. Thanks Hao, that makes sense. I guess I'll wait and see how he would turn out to look like at full grown. :)

its a normal color which is shown on most golden aros.
