I've got 3 Leo's in my tank.
1. Over 2 1/2 year old female getting chewed on by my mature male. This I know would happen.
But why is my 1 year old female doing the same thing to the older female?
She's almost doing more damage than the male.

I'm planning on separating the older female tonight to get her to heal up again.
I just wanted to know why the younger female would chew on another.

Thanks for any input.

I think it's just the personality as I had a big P-14 female that bit all my rays so she had to go.

That's not good.
I always thought it was a play thing.
Til recently the big female started using her tail to fend her off.

Had to separate my big female tonight.
She's got 2 big bite marks, 1 on each side of the base if her tail, that don't look so good.
I did about a 200 gal water change flushing my filter. ( didn't operate).
I added 2 pounds of salt ( all I had) and some melifix.
Air pump cranked.
Now I'll just wait and see.

Im not sure if the little female did the damage but right now my male wants his mate back.
