Hi all,
I went on holidays for a few days, leaving the aro home with my friend to take care of.
And when i came back after a week , i found that the aro had stopped eating for a few days, and the filter was not working.
So,I think that it was becouse of the internal bcteria bult up in the stomach of my aro.
The swiming body posture is also bend like a bow.
I'm uploading the pics too,
Steps i have taken:
1. Raised the tank temp to 30 degree celcius.
2. Changing water every 2 days 20 %.(I don't add meds, just salt on water change)
3. Added salt a bit to the tank.
4. Added epson salt , about 20 gms to my 159 lts tank.
5. added oceans free, internal bacteria away med, as recomended on bottle 15ml.

Now after 2 days of treatment ,it has started eating, but still very suggish, and bow like body swimming posture.
Kindly help, what should i do?

.
Personally I would stop feeding. Lower the water level to give him more oxygen. Good luck, pretty fish. I hope it lives for ya.

It is improving, but I feed him once a day, as he need energy too to fight infection.

Can anyone through some light on the disease type?

My fish is eating normally, now, and has become active too.
The body bend is recovered a bit but not fully.
Still its slightly bent.
It seems its due to injury sustained when i was out of station.
Lets hope it will recover soon.
And, can any one tell me how long would it take for the scales to revert back to its original color.
As of now they are dark.
Should i stop tanning now., and should i switch off the normal lights too..
Suggestion needed....

You should've stopped feeding when fish is sick.. Fish can survive a long time without food..
Glad to know that it's recovered.. A very nice fish too, take good care of it..
