One of my ranco controllers just took a dump on me.

I very much liked them until now. This one isnt even that old and the error code said the unit is shot

No it didnt cook anything but the temp in the tank read 140 degrees

Why are you running heater in the summer ?

I never run heater in the 600 (inside the house), the risk outweigh the rewards IMO/E. I keep the house temp at about 72-72 degrees and the tank stays 75-77 ( I run a controller just to monitor stats)

I've been using the Finnex HC-800 and MAX-300 for nearly a year. So far, very satisfy with the products

My heaters prob dont run very much but like to keep the temp at 80

I use the controller from Jehmco. Maybe a fluke and you just got a bad controller.
