The weather is getting nicer and I would like to put some fish outside. I have a big "brute" trash can and I would like to put some fry or possibly a pair of fish in it central american cichlids.. I have a homemeade pond filter/pump that I can put in for filtration. Any advice tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated?

Place your container somewhere where it will receive partial shade. Add some floating plants to help keep the temperatures down.

You should have no problems with the temperature outside during the summer. It takes a while for the water temperature to drop.

Maybe you add some pond plants to help for shade and would benefit in nitrate removal and fry can hide
