I purchased a used 300 Gallon acrylic tank. One of the side panels has two 1 1/2" holes drilled. I am going to use both as drains to a 90g sump with a 3000 ghp return pump. I am attaching pictures of the mock up plumbing and asking for some advice if you see any major problems. I had a 265 gallon that also had a side drain but the last one had an overflow built into it.

I want to get everything going soon. Right now the tank is being filtered by an FX6 and a 406.

I also attached a picture of the tank with the canopy on that was taken about a month ago.

I have a number of tanks plumbed that way, the main drain line connects a 3 -5 tanks to a common sump, and all work fine.

When closing the main sump line, water is diverted outside to the garden, so I can change a few hundred gallons of water in a few minutes.
