Says 90gph so 180gph max. That isnt even 1x turnover. Id seriously consider going with about 1.5" plumbing and redrilling the tank if it is really that small
Sorry, it's 3/4 inchAre you sure its half inch plumbing? That would be some of the smallest ive seen on a tank bigger than 50g. Unless you are running a herbie style full siphon you arent going to get much flow through that. Id give figures but I couldnt find any info on smaller than 3/4" which was about 200gph unless running full siphon was closer to 400 gph
I'm looking for 5x an hour, so 1450 gallons an hour for a 290 gallon system gets me 5x an hour,I can drill bigger bulkheads if I need to.do you know what you want your turn over rate to be? cause that is the first question you need to answer. once you get that you can look up all the info you will need to accomplish that. then you drill the return line from the sump to allow for that and drill the drain holes large enough to keep up with that flow.
I'm reading this now.thanxFound it. http://www.thereeftank.com/forums/f217/overflow-gph-tweak-197337.html
