The fixture is 72" long by 16" wide. There are three metal halides with external ballasts. There's 8 t5 39 watt bulbs and 24 small LEDs. There is a total of 3 chords for the halides, 1 for the t5's and 2 for the LEDs. Any info on this is helpful. I would also like to know the price for one so I can compare. There is no legs only a hanging kit. Please give me info.Thank you.IMG_20140704_191132.jpgIMG_20140704_191825.jpgIMG_20140704_191815.jpg

Does anyone know how to change the t5 bulbs? Do I have to take the whole thing apart or is there an easier method I'm unaware of. Please help

Looks like a jeabo unit we get down here, I could be wrong but I did have a smaller model with 2 MH & 4 T5s same look same cord setup etc. mine set me back 250 AUD second hand, with the hanging kit and legs.

As for changing the bulbs, I had to slide the plastic off then I could spin the bulbs out and switch.

Hope this helps some what :|

The type is called an HQI fixture. You can compare it to other HQI fixtures, but it seems like squirtle got the brand for ya.

As for the t5's, there are 2 common ways that they can be removed. The easy ones simply twist out like a t8, and the more difficult ones (more common in retrofit fixtures) is to have 2 black end caps which must be unscrewed from the base and then slid off the bulb. Those are a pain as the bulbs sometimes melt the plastic a little bit, making them sticky and hard to remove.

To access the bulbs the protective plastic/glass plate will typically slide out of most fixtures. Often times with HQI fixtures there are a couple of screws on one side. Removing them will allow you to remove the metal bracket holding the plastic/glass plates in place.

Thank you but this acrylic splash plate does not slide out for me. Ive tried and i cannot get it off! I can see the one bulb out of the socket thats why it doesnt light up but i can get to it. I got this light for 150$, I couldn't resist even though I currently don't have a use for it.

You have to take off an end cap. I always took off the one that didn't have the power switch. Take off the end cap then slide out the shield and your able to access the bulbs.
