thinking of starting very large tank(400-500) gallon and wanted to know wat marine plants such as shaveing brush would be okay with tangs? tangs would be 1 naso tang, 1 sailfin tang, and three yellow sailfins. the other inhabitants would be 1 epaulette or bamboo shark, 1 miniatus grouper, 1 blue lined grouper, and a zebra moray eel.

I think you are asking the wrong question.

In my experience from the freshwater world the answer is none. Animals eat faster than plants grow.

The question you should ask is what plants will a tang leave alone. I don't have an answer to that though.

I'll be curious to see if anyone has a good answer to this though. Maybe instead of in tank underwater plants you could do a row of mangroves coming out the top back of the tank??

I love your plan though. I'm dreaming of something very very similar.
