I'm looking for a used tank for my home office. I dont have a large space to fit it into and I like the 60g from Petsmart. It comes with the most useless stand as it cant fit a canister, or a sump. I want to use a canister for filtration as I want it a close to the wall as possible, I don't want to leave room for a HOB filter.

So I was wondering if that 60 would fit on a 55g stand? one I can hide a canister in. I'm hoping the extra 5 gallons is in the tanks height and not foot print.

Any one know if this will work?

TIA

Assuming it is a Marineland aquarium, the 60G tank has the same footprint as the 55G tank but is 4 inches taller.

Double check the existing stand weight limit as the 60G filled with water weighs 55 pounds more than the 55G tank filled with water.
