Hi all,

I'm a newbie here and would need your kind help to identify this arowana as there are no certification of origin. I was informed it's a 5 years old female, but then again it's only hear-say. i brought it mainly because it's from pond and have no Droopy eyes and has some beautiful barbels. Just had to get it.

Description: Has hue of purple and mainly orange, was told it's a mixed. I've attached some photos(sorry about the photo quality).
Size: 50-55cm
Thanks!!!

Reminds me of a Tong Yan(XBxSR).

Sent from my iPhone using MonsterAquariaNetwork app
I'm not to sure tong yan = rose gold red splendour

It has very small tail annal and dorsal fins which make me think xback as it doesn't have the rose gold coloration
It also has thin frame most tong yan I have seen have thick frame

Body shape as well look like xback it's shorter and stocky like a xback

If it's been in a pond for so long it would have been bigger than 55cm if it had red genes

I would say pure xback
