Motoro ray swimming weirdly

My motoro ray which I have introduced to my tank today it is like using it's pelvic fin to move forward almost looks like it is hopping because the disc doesn't move as much!
Nitrites ammonia all at 0

Pics? I mean like most all fish rays have a slime coat especially when they are netted. They can use their fins to move around and do allot especially when smaller. Age? Size? Shipped in or picked up from a store?

Yeap that is good to hear! It's my first time keeping a ray. Not too sure bout the age but he looks like 6 inch in diameter bought from another mfker.

Already pellet trained on carnivore as I saw it for myself. It looks fat and healthy just that it was weird when I saw him swimming with his pelvic fins while the rest of the disc stays in shape!
