ID this fish

Caught 2 of these today. One was caught on a small fly like lures off a buoy chain in 40 feet of water and the other was caught on fish gizzards on the bottom in 70 feet of water. Cool looking whatever they are

Whatever they were were great shark bait, caught 2 hefty sand sharks on them.

Sand perch, I think. They are supposed to make interesting aquarium fish!
