Im very new to keeping angelfish and recently brought two.

I noticed this morning that one seems to to have an enlarged stomach?

What could this be?

Just a quick update the angel died and so did another one i brought from the same place. 3 other angels I brought from a different ahop seem to be doing just fine. I am starting to think they were both ill when I brought them.

Yes that is my male orangehead tapajos...iv just put 4 juvies in with him to hopefull get a pair :)

If the angels are very young, it's best to keep many.

Mine used to die when they were only 4-5 in my old tank, now I have 10 from same supplier at the same size and they all doing good.

Also higher temp is good for them at this age.

I'm reducing my angels down to 4-6 once they reached adulthood.
