Howdy,
I have a school of 5 Odoe, got them earlier this year and they're now 7-8''. Except one, which is ~5''.
Seems like I am now able to sex them, it appears I have 3 males and 2 females, one of which is the small pike.
Males seem to have dorsal fins that extend as rounded flags above the adipose fin, whereas the dorsal fin of a female has a straight vertical edge that ends well before the adipose fin. Coloring also seems to be more intense in the male, as reported from the only spawning ever documented in a fish tank (see thread in "other characins")
Stay tuned,
HarleyK
