Visually identify a male vs female Dovii

Need some insight from you all.
At what size can we visually identify a male vs female Dovii. Are there any distinct features or give out that can be seen.
I currently have 5 of them at 2 - 2.5 inches , very camera shy hence no pics attached

males have brown/black specks on the body and a more broken horizontal black line I believe. thats how i picked out my male at the lfs.

Both sexes can tend to have spots at small sizes but only males will have them on unpaired fins. And males will keep spots as they grow

At about 3 to 4 inches you will be able to tell a big difference in color males will get start getting their blues greens and purple and when completely calm say when the lights are out or when older will lose all of their stripes and have more of a bluishgreen iridescent body while a female will be yellow or gold with black stripe and only get blue around her mouthand on her fins
