Eye candy

I think this is one of the most beautiful freshwater fish. Hard to believe they are found right in our (well USA's) backyard. This video really captures that beauty.

They are Central Longear Sunfish, found in the central United States. A very similar fish, the Northern Longear Sunfish, lives in the northern USA, like where I live. Unfortunately in WI Northern Longear Sunfish are endangered, so even though I have a permit to collect native fish I can't get get them myself. So I'll probably end up order some Central Longears online.
