Hello everyone, I am setting up a 125g aquarium that will house smaller upper jaw polys, african brown knife, african butterfly, and 1 or 2 leopard ctenopoma.

For filtration I wanted to use one eheim 2217 with ceramic rings and 1 other filter. What would you suggest with this? I was thinking something with a higher gps, maybe a cf 500 or cfs 500?

As for lighting I wanted to have a low/medium light setup for plants. I am still learning more about what plants will be suitable for this setup, but I will stick with low/medium light plants. Would 2 30' Finnex Ray2 LED lights do the trick? I don't plan on setting up co2 yet, but as I become more experienced with planted tanks I would be open to it. If I do decide to go with these lights would adding co2 to the tank be work it or would I have to upgrade the lights?

thank you for your advice :)

I'm assuming by your lighting choice that this is a 5ft 120? As for the filter I heard great things about the CFS 500, big mechanical filter. Lighting should be OK as well

its a standard 125g tank (72" x 18" x 21") and I chose 2 x 30 inch lights instead of 2 x 36 inch lights because there would be a $100 difference.

You should be fine then. You may have a few darker areas depending on the placement of the lights
