I could use some better lenses for shooting birds, but I work with what I've got. These are some birds native to BC. I'm still very new to photography so any tips and suggestions would be appreciated.
And please feel free to post your own bird photos.
Thanks.
The body is a Nikon D5100. I read that it was a good DSLR for beginners, and so far I would agree. The lens is a Nikkor 70-300mm.
I believe that there are close to 500 different bird species just in my province alone. Canada definitely has some beautiful wildlife in all shapes and sizes.
Wow, gorgeous pics! Resting Bald Eagles and Kingfishers are really tough to photograph, well done. In your first post, third pic - is that a Cedar Waxwing?
