Hello everyone. I had the opportunity to pick up a 11" clown loach from a friend of a friend. It was in a bag for 2 days before I got it and the water smelled bad. I place him in a 5gal bucket and set up the drop at 2 drops a min and placed a air stone in bucket. I had a emergency at work and when I got back. He was in the tank not breathing. Mrs. Did me a favor and dropped him in since I "forgot".

He wasn't breathing when I found him.

Held him here half a hour and he started breathing again.

Now he's breathing but on his side. I placed a air stone near him.

Do you think he will survive? Anything else I can do for him? This is my quarantine hex. I don't want to add meds unless he lives. Any advice appreciated he's a big guy and I would feel bad tossing him out.

He might pull through. Clowns seem to be very sensitive to changes.
I lost a 8" Clown Loach myself due to improper acclimation. Probably not the news you wanna here but, there is always hope.
I would try to keep it as lest stressed as possible.

2 drops per minute is extremely slow. I would have ran a fast drip 1 drop per second and added him 15-20 minutes later. Maybe add prime? Hope he makes it for you.
