I got the peacock bass and snakeheads out of my system .... now I'm on to BIGGER and better fighting fishes, like SNOOKS =)

I prefer lighter setups since I only do inshore fishing ... I use med-heavy rods (up to 20lbs) and 3000-5000 reels ... 20-30lb braid with a 30-40lb fluoro leader.

It's fun even fishing the smaller to med snooks.

Nice catches! That spillway is a great spot for tarpon as well.. I use to fish that spot when I lived down in palm beach.;)
