So I want to do a web cam on my fish room so i can see the tanks while at work, how?

I have a trendnet wireless cloud camera. Bought it on sale 50% off, $40 after taxes. Easy as hell to install, but requires a computer to do so (computer doesn't need to be running for cam to run, so you can borrow a laptop). Uses cloud technology but it's cheap, doesn't have good features or the best quality, but for what I want it for its all I need. One thing to note, viewing your cam through your phone uses a ton of data, so make sure you're connected to wifi. Not positive on Internet/bandwidth usage but i assume that it's only used when you access it (I hope). Quality let's me see everything clean as day, stream isn't choppy but has about a 2-3 second delay. Cons: no night vision, audio is only 1 way so I can't yell at my dog if i catch her in a drawer searching for fish food.

Why are you scared someones gonna do something to them?

P.s. Check the reviews on that link you provided. I wouldn't spend more than 50 on that. Spend based on your need: Want a quick check while away to see if power is on: buy cheap. Want videos of tiny fish breeding or something? Spend at least triple I'd say.

Like this idea myself, I remember the first few days I filled my tank and went out, I was worried sick that it would leak or burst.
I thought about something like this, or a water level alert too my phone if water levels are dropping due to leaking filter or tank.

I'd be willing to pay for a SMS alert for water leaks, be a load of my mind, just make sure it has a special alert tone, so I don't freak out every time I get a text.
