Nice pickup! These carps are pretty fragile when young and most people feed them frozen foods like brine shrimp and bloodworms at that size until they get bigger. I believe they are filter feeders when young. I wish I could be more of help but I got mine around 4" and it was pretty hardy in my opinion. It's been a few months and it's around 7" now. I was able to get it onto sinking carnivore pellets within a week. I don't do anything special but regular water changes and feed feed. My carp is always hungry so make sure they get plenty of food. I talked to a guy overseas and he says they need to get fed often when young. Super peaceful fish too so make sure nothing is stressing it out. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. Hes grown about an inch since ive gotten him. I haven't seen him eating for the first couple of days but now i see him taking hikari sinking very well.
