Acrylic box as tank?

The acrylic should be safe, the question is is the acrylic thick enough to not bow when filled with water. I guess this depends of the height of the box.

Acrylic doesnt leach anything and is a common tank building material but im not sure those are thick enough to hold water. Rimless acrylic tanks are somewhat rare because you need somewhat thick acrylic to keep it from bowing. Unfortunately I dont know metric system enough to tell you how thick they should be
