I believe my bdxpearl breeding wasn't a succeed. She has no movement and it has been well over 60days since the first breeding attempt. Since my male thought he got her he hasn't shown interest in breeding. He follows her around but just like normal ray hanging out style.

My question is what should I try to get my male back on his task.

I was under the impression temp drop induced breeding activity?
I normally drop the temp to make them give birth if they have been holding pups for longer than needed

The temp drop makes them think it's the rainy season so the river is high and more food about

High temp means summer months and rainy season will be alone soon in 3 months when the pups are due

That could be why. I have tried a few temp drops to simulate rains as that works for egg laying sp. Since they are live birth it needs to be flipped. Back in April my heater was set a bit high from winter with it getting warmer the tank was hotter.

Gonna try this.

Any particular reason you keep yours that high year round(like other certain type of fish that does better in a tank that warm) or that's just your number.
I can understand if it's only that little of an increase for a month.

If only for a months that said I keep mine at 86 all year round

I used to keep mine at 86° all year in the passed. Now I mainly run it at 77-83°. I have it bumped to 87° ish. Not gonna keep it there for very long.
