Let me discuss about him destroying plant for now.

Planning on doing barebottom tank with plants and pro led light.

No dimmer so i just want to know if it will affect the datnoids like the white eye disease?
Or are they fine with high lighted tank?

Mine hated bright lights I had 2 197 watt led lights on my 125 all the did was hide went back to my t5 and they stabled up but they still don't like it most of them stay out not but they prefer natural light. They don't touch the plants. I don't know if brights lights will hurt them or not I haven't kept dats long term under bright light

My indo got real reclusive when I increased my lighting. Went back to a single fixture and he's been fine

I try the light for 1 day and i cant even find him in those rock scape anymore so decided to go baretank again.

Also find that my datnoid is more active and stable in a high current tank.

Interesting. I never tried increasing the flow.. sounds like a nice experiment

In my experience Dats like low or sun light. I have a 4 ft LED fixture over my 240. The Dats Stay on the ends when the lights are on.

Mine is a plant destroyer, they don't last a single day. Over 12 inches so it doesn't take long for home to reduce them to nothing.

My dats get somewhat unstable under higher intense lighting too. Might have to get a LED and control the intensities.
