Just a log of VATF growth in the past 3 months....

Preparing new tank for the tigers... 72x30x30

Got these guys 4/29/14 5-6 inches but pics are on 5/15

Into the 1000 gallon Bowfront they go! 6/18/14 The alpha is close to 9 inches while the others are 6-8 inches

Once the pecking order was established, most of the fighting subsided. The alpha fish usually controls the area where the food comes in.... the rest of the pack is usually on the other end. I started with 10 ATF's from Wes and now there are 9 in my bowfront and one in my buddy's tank. He is trying to grow out that one differently. We will compare in a few more months.(coloration and growth)

Averaging an inch per month. This video is over a month old. The Alpha is pushing 14 inches now. Keeping the VATF's in a pack pass the 12 inch mark has not produced any 'murders' or suicides yet.

That's a great set up. It doesn't seem like there's much ripped fins or gashes. There must be a minimum number to control the aggression. When I had 5 it was not enough. The Alpha would still pick on the lower two. Maybe at least 6 would be a good pack to keep. I didn't have enough dithers too. Since my tank is only 650 it seems it's still too small for long term.
