Gourami species only tank

So I have an empty 50 gallon tankand i need to know if I can put alot of dwarf gouramies in there. More like 20 males no females, Is this possible? Has anyone had success of keeping multiple dwarf gouramies together? The tank will be planted.
Here is my plan
Dwarf gourami only tank
20 dwarf gourami tank
or this one
Gourami tank
8 dwarf gourami
8 croaking gourami
4 3 spot gourami
Suggestions please

I think you need several females in the mix. I've heard that the males will fight much more. Also they need the females to show off for that's when they show their full colors. Females are usually harder to find but if you're gonna dedicate a whole tank to gouramis you should add some females also

I've had the most success with 1 male to 2 females.
