As we all know clown loaches are infamous for looking dead, laying sideways under driftwood, rocks plant etc. Several times a day I observe my tank checking for anything unusual. Since yesterday morning Grand Puba (the only fish in my tank with a name) has been in the same spot under some driftwood just relaxing or so I thought. Today I go do my water change and notice my 5 other loaches all over him, grab my net, nudged him and realized he was gone. I got this fish last year And the previous owner told me he had him about 10-11 years in a 125 gallon. My water test is fine as usual I'm guessing he died from old age since most sites state clown loaches live for 10-15years if properly cared for and 20yrs in the wild. My other loaches ranging from 5-8" look lost now and I'm considering selling the remaining ones.
