Is this hole in the head?
If so, how do I treat it? I've been lucky enough not to encounter it before.
If not, any idea what it is then?

Thanks in advance for any help. This is my favourite fish so want to get it treated early. Only noticed this this morning.

It looks more like a scratch like he bumped into something. Every time I've seen HITH it starts with something fuzzy coming out of the sensory receptors like a bacterial infection then pitting will occur.

I hope you're right. I took the photos in a hurry this morning as I had to get to work. I'll try and get some better ones this evening.
I put the pictures up on another forum here in the UK and people seemed to think it was HITH but it seemed to be guesswork.
Hoping someone can let me know pretty definitively one way or the other.
