Hi I've tryed jungle val in my tank many times with no luck. I'm giving them one more shot because I really like the way they look. I think I may have cleaned my tank to much so now ima start cleaning less and adding diy co2 here's the questions. Should I start my diy co2 before my plants are added they won't be here till next week. And should I just trim off the dead leafs off or trim the whole plant down to one size. the plants when they make it here they were ordered off line. And are around a ft tall. The plants will be planted in pool filter sand light 3ft t5ho over a 75g

I don't know about CO2, but find it is best to get the plants started either, without fish, or with small non-destructive fish (especially with cichlids). Once the root system is established they seem almost invincable.
My Vallisneria americana appreciates lots of current, and although gets about 9 hours of low end light, it gets a heavier bright amount for 2 hours or so, around noon.
