New member here from North Jersey - I just got back into piranhas after going the last seven years without a tank. I recently brought home a 5" ruby red spilo (serrasalmus maculatas, spilopleura, whatever you want to call him). May be the best fish I have ever owned and he hasn't even been here a week - I put him just ahead of the 9" black diamond rhom I had back in 2005. He's been incredibly active and aggressive since I first put him in the tank, well ahead of any piranha I've ever had in that respect.

I also had a 6" xingu rhom until recently. Much more shy a fish but incredibly beautiful.

The tank is a 72 gallon bow front.

great pick up. It looks really nice. I think I am going to upgrade my RRS to a nice planted tank soon
