Ambient room temp is going to be your biggest factor in regards to how much wattage you will need, but if you are in Ft Lauderdale, I'm guessing the air temps won't get much below 70F? If that's the case, 900 watts should be enough. You could try using 1,200 watts just to be on the safe side, but you will want to make sure you aren't overloading the circuit. On a 15 amp circuit, you shouldn't run more than ~1,400 watts and on a 20 amp circuit you shouldn't run more than 1,800 watts.

BTW, it's against forum policy to say you have a 900G tank and not post pix.
