Disapearing bettas!!!!

Ok so I put 6 female bettas into my 125 gallon until I could take them to my mom on Saturday. When I came home today I noticed that there are only 2 bettas left. My Gt and dempsey are not big enough to have eatten them. My Vieja is big but his mouth looks too little to have eatten them. So I am thinking my 12 inch pleco ate them. Who do you think ate them in less then 48 hours?

***125 GALLON: 1 Jack Dempsey, 2 Convicts, 2 German Blue Rams, 2 red jewels, 1 Green Terror, 1 Gold Gourami, 1 Angelfish, 1 Vieja Syn and 1 12 inch pleco.
60 GALLON: 1 Red Devil.***

Its one or more of your cichlids. Preys can be torned apart into smaller pieces until they do fit into a predators mouth.

May have been a team effort. Id imagine cichlids would kill them then a pleco would gladly clean up the mess

Why would put them in that tank? They would've been ok in cups until Saturday as long as you were willing to change their water. :-/

Yeah cause there is no evidence of the missing bettas. They are just gone. I even looked behind the tank to see if they jumped out, then I realized that my cat would have ate them as soon as they hit the floor. Wow I was sure they would be fine for a few days

I have put the remaining two in cups. All but the Vieja are small so I thought they would be ok.

I'm surprised all 6 bettas weren't utterly eviscerated in that tank to be honest.

A Pleco would not eat the bones, however cichlids have been known to eat the entire body. I had a 6 inch Jag eat 12 goldfish before, you'd be surprised what they can fit in their mouths.
