So I've got an empty 135 sitting empty waiting to move into it's new home and it's getting to the point where I better start thinking about stocking. I'm torn between red belly piranhas which I've kept in the past, oscars or jags which I've never had experience with. Any other ideas or advice is greatly appreciated.

You could keep a two oscars and 5 silver dollars it would be over stocked but it mostly depends on your water changing schedule. And some small feather fin squeakers

You could do a pair of oscars and a few silver dollars then something that uses the bottom half of the tank
