I have some cichlids in my 180 gallon that are on their way to being big. I have some drift wood, big rocks and PVC pipe (6" diameter) for tunnels, also I have some anubias plants, which they don't mess with. I got this new tank not too long ago and For the most part my tank looks a little bare. What else could I do for hiding places for fish on the larger side? I kind of want do do something that can also break up the upper half of the tank. Any suggestions and ideas are appreciated.

Also if anyone in the SoCal area has a canister filter rated for larger tanks that they aren't using and want to make a "deal", let me know I may be interested.

depends on what you mean by big cichlids. If oscars any sharp rocks a no no and they do not hide.

Awesome DIY hide ehh. I'm always on the hunt for bigger cave like ornaments for cichlids, doesn't really appeal to the mass market I'm guessing; so can't really find much in LFS'.

Thanks guys. I knew finding something big enough for him wasn't gonna happen.
He uses it too. It's a sleepy night night hang out.

Its worthy of a separate thread, I haven't visited the DIY section yet but I imagine it wouldnt be out of place there
