damn as my tanks draining I opened this thread -_-

I do 50% water changes every second day to stay around 30ppm nitrates, yes, very messy tank oscars, plecos ect xD

I think if I had to change that much water I'd go mad lol. Though I probably will have to when my cichlids get bigger :(

You got a python aquarium cleaner? makes life soooo easy.
I do, but it doesn't fit my outlets and haven't been able to find a joining piece. I'm moving soon though, and will try to get taps etc that can facilitate it :)

I had a Python--it was more trouble than it was worth. I think it's alot easier to buy a garden hose, attach a gravel vac to the end, and use that to drain/vacuum. Then to fill it up, just screw it onto the tap outside and turn on the tap. Those fine threads on kitchen/bathroom sink, and the slow python pump, I got tired of that real fast.
